Game 1: JV - Jenkins vs. Johnson
Game 2: Varsity - Johnson vs. Miller
Game 3: JV - Miller vs. Game 1 Loser
All season long, teams have had the luxury of playing only one game per night. This next Wednesday that luxury will not be available for either Jenkins or Johnson team. The team who loses the first game will play Miller team in the last game. This is the one and only time the whole season this will happen. After this week we will only have two games per night. That way teams will only have to play once a night. This schedule may change if enough people have a problem with it. Let us know what your opinion is. Should we push the late game to the next week or just let the team who loses in game 1 battle it out in the last game?
As a player I'd rather not play twice in one night. It is possible, but you don't really have the energy you would like to have for a playoff game.
ReplyDeleteYea two games makes it hard to play your best in the second.
ReplyDeleteWhy dont we have game 3 this Wednesday be Varsity Jenkins vs. Varisty Stephens. Then next week can be:
ReplyDeletegame 1: JV loser vs. JV loser
game 2: JV winner vs. JV winner
game 3: V winner of (miller/johnson) vs. V loser of (jenkins/stephens) ?
That way no one has to play twice in one night at all any night.
If we do it that way the Varsity playoffs will be done way before the JV playoffs. I'd like to keep them going at the same pace.
ReplyDeletei think we should leave it scheduled as it is but leave it optional to push game 3 to next week. I dont think we should disadvantage any team by making them play twice. They should be able to choose. i think the team members and the team capatin should decide after game 1 is over. If the game one losers wanna wait, let them. If they wanna battle it out, let them. But they won't know how they feel till after game 1.
ReplyDeletethe way you figured someone is still playing double games. the jv doesn't have two losers or two winners yet smart pants.
ReplyDeleteI agree with want Anonymous said, lol... But i think the team who has to play a double should decide.
ReplyDeleteHA! whoever posted at 3:11 PM, read the post again and see if you can keep up... the first part says this week game 3 would be JenkinsV vs. StephensV.
ReplyDeleteSo on 1/5 the schedule would be
Game 1: JV - Jenkins vs. Johnson
Game 2: Varsity - Johnson vs. Miller
Game 3: Varisty - Jenkins vs. Stephens
and as it says, NEXT WEEK (1/12) it would be
game 1: JV loser vs. JV loser
game 2: JV winner vs. JV winner
game 3: V winner of (miller/johnson) vs. V loser of (jenkins/stephens)
Wow! no one plays twice... Read the post again. Is says "then next week can be". Next week there will be jv winners and losers smart pants.
Looks like some anonymous silliness... it doesnt matter neways guys, cause my varsity and Garrett's varsity teams arnt gonna play Game3 2nite. Like G said, we wanna keep the timing rite.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the championsp gms for V and JV cn land on the same nite....
I think that the loser of game 1 2nite shud b abl 2 decide if they ply game3 or wait. but, wer gona schedule refs, stats, etc and plan on there being a game 3 2nite..
Im ok with playing two games in one night
ReplyDeletethe commissioner has spoken. I talked to my dad, the commissioner, and he said to play it out as it's scheduled. Captains and players tonight will not be able to choose whether or not they want to play. They have to play it as the schedule states. Good luck to everyone tonight!!
